BUFFALO TRACE BOURBON BARREL AGED POGUE'S RUN PORTER
6.5% ABV | 34 IBU
The award-winning Pogue's Run Porter has been with us from the beginning. With a sentimental nod to our second home in Kentuckiana as well as our own backyard, we aged our porter in Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrels creating a special brew tasting of rich chocolate and coffee that melds into robust bourbon and oak notes. We couldn't be happier to share this with our friends and family as we turn six!
The Return of Indiana Maple Barrel Aged Pinko Russian Imperial Stout
It all started with a Corsair Artisan Triple Smoke Whiskey barrel. Flat12 brewers sent the barrel up to our friends at the Newmun Homestead in Fort Wayne, and they filled it with their famous Indiana maple syrup, "Martha's Maple Madness." Once they emptied and bottled the barrel aged maple syrup, they returned the barrel to Flat12. The crew then filled it with our Pinko Russian Imperial Stout, and thus was born Indiana Maple Barrel Pinko, an award-winning Russian Imperial Stout available only once a year.
Brewed to age. Brewed for barrels. Indiana Maple Barrel Pinko is rich and velvety with notes of woody vanilla and waffles. The bitter roastiness balances out out with a warm, lingering, sweet maple finish. In Soviet Russia, you don't drink Imperial Stouts, Imperial Stouts drink you.
